Land of the Lost!

Well, I have looked every where and I have lost my camera. After the move into the new house everything was in such a mess that I thought I would find it eventually. But, alas, I have not. I think we may have left it in the pocket of my sweetie pie's tux from the wedding. Of course we rented the tux so we returned it and they have not seen my camera. So now I can't show any pictures of anything I am making so I may have to stop my blog for a while. I am just hoping it will turn up somewhere.
In the meantime, I hope your holidays are full of fun and family and friends.

Better late than never

Ok. I know it's been a while since I told you about this, but, I thought I would show you the pictures of the things I made for my sweet friend for her Birthday. She does roosters and chickens and stuff in her kitchen, so I put a little chick on a plate for one of her gifts. We celebrated my sister's Birthday at the same time because they are like a few days apart. Isn't my sweet sister so silly?
This is what I made for her. She's the one that moved to the beach.

I took a picture from all sides because each of them are different.

I found this castle at Lowe's made of plaster and I just sprayed it with glue and sprinkled sand and glitter onto it to make it look like a real sand castle. Then I just glued on all kinds of treasures, like shells and jewelry and well, everything else I could find. I think she liked it.

Where am I?

This has been the craziest couple of weeks. My sweet sister has moved to the beach. (Ok, just a little jealous) But her little house became available and I bought it! Can you believe that? Talk about a quick decision. Then someone wanted to rent my little house right away and I had to be out of there in 5 days. Yes, I know it's crazy. Me and all my junque, I mean art supplies. So I am exausted. And my sweetie pie went to Puerto Rico to help build a church and he took my camera with him so I don't have any pictures today. But I will send some when he gets back this weekend. I really love this little house and am very thankful for the blessings of family and friends. I could not have done this without my sweet parents, always ready to help. I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Tuesday doins

Hi! I am working at the Plum Tree Antiques store today. I just love all the sweet people I meet when I'm here. Everyone is just so nice and friendly.
I actually finished my projects yesterday. Now, if I could just stop fussing with them, they may just make it to the party. I keep adding then taking away, then adding something else. I will show you after this weekend, and you will know what I'm talking about. Sometimes more is too much.
Anyway, I hope you are having a good week, and I'll write again soon.

Crazy Daze

Can you believe it's already September? What a very busy month this is going to be. My sweetie pie has a birthday on the 7th, and my best buddy has one on the 10th. My niece is having a baby shower on the 13th and we are celebrating my sister's birthday on the 14th. Then I have a wedding shower on the 27th, I think. I might should check my invitation. And during all of this my sister is moving to the beach, and I was going to help her and hopefully get a trip to the beach. I haven't seen the ocean all summer. So I would let you take a peek at some of the gifts I'm working on but I am afraid they might just take a peek too. So I'll show you whenever I'm done. In the meantime I thought I'd show you this little cigar box that I altered in hopes it might be of some inspiration for you to create something of your own. This is not a gift so I can show you.

Spare time creations

I wanted to show you some of the things I've made. I will be making some of these things to go in my Etsy shop. These are just some tags I've made with old music and snips from old calling cards.
They make great bookmarks too.

A platter with old book pages, sheet music, old lace and buttons, and some things from
nature walks, shells, moss, feathers.

I call this mermaid treasures. Well, I hope you have a great Labor Day weekend. Don't forget sunscreen. Bye, for now.

My happpy home.

It took me a while to get this picture of my son, Phillip. He sings, writes and plays music. I think he is the best musician in the whole world, but then I am his mom so I may be a little biased on that. If you would like to judge for yourself he has a my space called myspace.com/phillipdanford

I think I'm getting better at this.

Have a great evening!

I thought I would start by introducing you to my little family, this sweetie pie is Eliza Doolittle.

And then there is the silly little one, Holly Golightly.
As I said I'm still learning how to do this so I will post more later.
